Glucosamine (as sulfate and hydrochloride)
A natural compound found in healthy cartilage, it acts as a precursor in the production of proteoglycans in the cartilage matrix and synovial fluid. When ingested, it becomes particularly useful in treating joint pain and inflammation. It also helps regenerate connective tissues and is necessary for the biosynthesis of several glycoproteins, glycolipids, and glycosaminoglycans (mucopolysaccharides). It works synergistically with chondroitin.

Chondroitin (as sulfate)
A component of proteoglycans, it is a basic building block of cartilage. It works synergistically with glucosamine and contributes to the regeneration of connective tissues. This substance reduces both joint swelling and the activity of destructive enzymes in the joints. It can also decrease certain biomarkers of inflammation in the synovial fluid.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
The main component of synovial fluid and articular cartilage. It increases the lubrication of soft structures in the joint and increases the viscosity of joint fluid, while reducing inflammation by capturing free radicals. HA supplementation can induce the body to produce more of its own beneficial endogenous HA.

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane)
Contains sulfur as an essential element, in a form the body can use. Sulfur is necessary for the formation of collagen, glucosamine, and chondroitin, all components of cartilage. It can also help reduce pain and inflammation. Sulfur introduced into the body via MSM is also used to help synthesize essential elements such as proteins and complex sugars.

Bovine Collagen Peptides
Source of L-hydroxyproline, a key amino acid that helps rebuild new collagen fibers which support joint stability.
